What is Form N-400?

Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, is the form lawful permanent residents use to apply for U.S. citizenship. It asks for a detailed personal history — addresses, employment, trips outside the United States, marital history and more — so accurate, organized records make a real difference.

USCIS publishes the current form, eligibility information and instructions on its official N-400 page, along with free study materials for the naturalization test. Whether you meet the requirements is a legal determination that depends on your situation.

How long do I need to have my green card first?
Time requirements depend on your specific situation. This is a legal eligibility question — we recommend confirming details with a licensed immigration attorney.
Can you help me study for the citizenship test?
We focus on document preparation, but can point you to study resources for the civics and English portions of the interview.
Do you offer this service in Spanish?
Yes, our team works with you fully in English or Spanish.
What should I prepare for an N-400?
Your green card and passport(s), your addresses and employers for the period the instructions ask about, the dates of your trips outside the United States, and records of your marital history and any children. Having this organized before we start saves time.
What if I cannot remember every past address or trip?
Reconstruct what you can from passports, travel records, leases, pay stubs and tax records, and tell us what you cannot recall. We will mark the gaps for you to confirm rather than guess — the application has to be accurate.
Will you submit my N-400 and go to my interview?
No. We prepare the form and organize your documents; you review, sign and file it, and you attend your own interview.
